As an associate attorney with the Firm, Ms. Kern handles a broad range of civil litigation matters, including insurance defense, commercial liability, and tort actions. Ms. Kern graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Finance and received her Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law. Throughout law school, she served as a comment editor and staff editor on the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal. While on the Journal, she wrote a paper on equitable adoption, which was chosen for publication and received the Outstanding Second Year Comment Award for the overall best paper submitted to the journal by a second year law student. Ms. Kern also presented her paper at the Journal’s Annual CLE & Symposium in 2016. Additionally, Ms. Kern participated in the Texas Tech University School of Law’s Regional Externship Program, where she spent her last semester of law school interning full-time at Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas in Fort Worth, Texas, and received a Distinction Designation for her participation.
